Application of Infrared Temperature Measurement System in Unattended Substation

Abstract: With the continuous improvement of China's power grid system, the number of substations continues to increase, which also greatly increases the pressure of operation and maintenance. In order to effectively improve the operation and maintenance efficiency of substation and reduce the pressure of staff, the concept of unattended substation is proposed, and remote operation and management are realized through the application of various automatic and intelligent monitoring and measuring equipment. This paper first makes a brief analysis of the development of unattended substation, and makes a specific analysis around infrared temperature measurement technology. It is a non-contact detection equipment, which can detect and diagnose the heating of equipment in advance. By combining it with intelligent handheld equipment and intelligent transportation inspection and control platform to create an infrared temperature measurement system, it can remotely obtain and analyze the infrared spectrum of equipment, and provide intelligent auxiliary judgment for the overheating of substation equipment, escort for the safe and reliable operation of unattended substations.

1. Introduction
Based on the development planning of China's power grid in recent years, the substation is developing in the direction of intelligence, and its internal application of online monitoring, state diagnosis, intelligent inspection and other systems is continuously promoted, and the goal of "unattended" is gradually realized. In the construction and operation of unmanned substation, temperature monitoring is an important content, especially infrared temperature measurement has the advantages of non-contact, safe and reliable, fast detection speed, accurate judgment and convenient operation. According to the actual work needs, a more reasonable, practical and accurate infrared temperature measurement system should be designed to facilitate the non-contact measurement of substation electrical equipment temperature and ensure the safety and reliability of electricity.
Development Overview of 2. Unattended Substation
The operation and maintenance of the traditional substation is mainly composed of the station personnel, supplemented by the computer system, and the problem is eliminated manually when the substation fails. These station personnel have been trained by local power grid companies for a long time, but they still need to be further promoted in the station process. With more and more substations, the traditional operation and maintenance mode has the following problems:(1) each substation needs to employ a large number of operation and maintenance personnel, resulting in a large cost of human resources;(2) A large number of courses need to be offered to operators, and targeted prior learning has a positive effect on avoiding possible major accidents;(3) Even the trained personnel still have a considerable chance of misoperation;(4) Since most substations are far away from urban living areas, the conditions for operation and maintenance personnel are not superior, and the flow of personnel is inevitable. Therefore, the operation and maintenance of substation from artificial to intelligent system is the trend of the times, is an important problem to be solved.
