1. According to the voltage level can be divided into ultra-high voltage, high voltage, medium voltage substation and low voltage substation. The voltage below 1kV is called low voltage; the voltage of 1 ~ 10kV is called medium voltage; the voltage higher than 10kV and lower than 330kV is called high voltage; the voltage above 330kV is called ultra high voltage. 2. According to the difference of power supply object, it can be divided into urban substation, industrial substation and agricultural substation. 3. According to its low position and function in the power system, it can be divided into hub substation, intermediate substation, regional (local) substation, enterprise substation and end (user) substation.
